Corporate History

In 2011,EMI Pipeline Tech Co., Ltd. was officially established.

In 2012,we have launched three core products independently researched and developed: ART welding power sources, multi-functional automatic welding workstations and hot wire GTAW welding power supplies.

In 2014,we initiated independent research and development for the design of the first-generation PL500 automatic welding equipment dedicated to pipeline fixed girth joints.

In 2016,the PL500 automatic welding equipment for pipeline fixed joints successfully finished welding procedure qualification tests targeting refinery projects and was officially authorized for on-site use in refinery engineering projects.

In 2017,the automatic pipeline welding machines manufactured by EMI were successfully deployed for construction of the RAPID Petrochemical Complex in Johor, Malaysia, and participated in the automatic welding construction of spherical tanks contracted by Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Co., Ltd.

In 2018,the proprietary single-sided welding, double-sided penetration forming process was put into service on long-distance transmission trunk pipelines for the first time.

In 2021,orbital automatic GTAW equipment for pipeline fixed girth joints has passed automatic welding procedure qualification and been put into field service on long-distance trunk pipelines. Meanwhile, we participated in the R&D project of vertical welding machines for Sinopec LNG cryogenic storage tanks, with the equipment officially applied on construction sites.

From 2022 to the present, the spherical tank automatic welding system is equipped with intelligent functions such as human-machine separation and has been successfully applied in Maoming, Jiujiang and other petrochemical projects. The full-automatic GTAW root welding process has been fully deployed on multiple national key long-distance pipeline projects, including the West-to-East Gas Transmission Phase III and Sichuan Second Eastward Pipeline.
