Power Disconnection and Preparation
Completely disconnect the welding machine from the power source and verify that there is no risk of electric shock before commencing cleaning operations.
External Component Cleaning
Wipe weld spatter, oil, and dust from the machine's exterior; clean spatter from the welding torch nozzle; and clear any debris from the gas lines to ensure unobstructed shielding gas flow.
Internal Dust Removal
Use dry compressed air to blow away accumulated dust from internal components such as circuit boards and heat sinks, preventing short circuits caused by dust buildup.
Connection Point Maintenance
Clean oxidation layers and dirt from welding cable terminals and retighten connection nuts to ensure secure electrical contact.
Final Inspection and Completion
After confirming that no debris remains on the cleaned parts, verify the integrity of the equipment's grounding; allow the machine to sit until completely dry before putting it back into service.
